Komödie in englischer Sprache der pakistanischen Theatergruppe Dramaline.

Die pakistanische Studententheatergruppe DRAMALINE von der Lahore University of Management Sciences in Pakistan ist vom 24.02. bis 03.03.2013 zu Besuch in Stuttgart. Das Kulturkabinett hat in Kooperation mit der Universität Hohenheim den Austausch der Studenten organisiert. Als Höhepunkt ihres Besuches wird DRAMALINE die Komödie von Neil Simon "Rumors" (deutscher Titel "Gerüchte Gerüchte") in englischer Sprache am 02. März im Katharinensaal des Euroforums an der Uni Hohenheim aufführen.

Worum es geht:

Ein Schuss! Ein dumpfer Aufprall! Charley Brock, der zweite Bürgermeister von New York, sinkt blutüberströmt auf sein Bett. Ausgerechnet jetzt treffen die ersten Gäste zur Feier seines zehnten Hochzeitstag ein. Im Versuch die Geschehnisse voreinander zu verbergen jagt ein Gerücht das andere und die Fragen überschlagen sich:

Warum ist Charleys Ehefrau Myra unauffindbar?
Hatte Charley ein Verhältnis mit Carole Newman?
Warum ist die japanische Köchin in China verschollen?
Warum steht plötzlich die Polizei vor der Tür?
Und wer zum Teufel ist Harold Green?!

Eine wahnwitzige Komödie über Gerüchte, Irrungen und Wirrungen vom Erfolgsautor Neil Simon.

Im Anschluss wird ein kleines Begegnungsfest organisiert.

The Pakistani theater group DRAMALINE of the Lahore University of Management Sciences visits Stuttgart from February 24 to March 3, 2013. The "Kulturkabinett? organized the exchange of the Pakistani students in cooperation with the University of Hohenheim. Highlight of their visit will be DRAMALINE's performance of Neil Simon's comedy "Rumors? on March 2, 2013 in the Katharinensaal of the EUROFORUM at the University of Hohenheim.

The plot:

A gunshot is heard! Charley Brock, second mayor of New York, sinks down on his bed - covered in blood. In this very moment the guests he invited to his 10th wedding anniversary arrive. Attempting to hide the incident from one another, rumors are spread and the agitated guests pepper each other with questions:

Why has Charley's wife Myra disappeared?
Did Charley have an affair with Carole Newman?
Why has the Japanese cook gone missing in China?
Why does the police suddenly turn up at Brock's door?
And who the heck is Harold Green?!

"Rumors? is a crazy comedy about, well, rumors, twists and turns of the best selling author Neil Simon.

After the performance there will be organized a little get-together, where you will get a chance to talk to the actors.
